Missing My Cake

It was this time last year that we were planning a baby shower for our nephew. We just got an invitation in the mail for her 1st birthday party. My oh my how time flies! We’ve never gotten to meet this cute little girl, since she lives in San Diego with her family, but we are hoping to fly out later this summer or early fall and spend some time with all of them.

In a few weeks I have a new cake order. This one is giving me a bit of stress. It’s three pretty big cakes with embroidery piping all over it. I’m excited to get started….but still just a little nervous. I will be practicing this baby for a few weeks before I actually lay it on the cake. It’s for my husband’s best friend, which means I’m practically donating it—but any opportunity to get to do a cake–is a good one!
